The mineral business is not just about specimens - it is also about the people. Half of the fun of mineral show is the social side, meeting up with friends who are both collectors and dealers. And life is definitely too short to take it seriously all the time!
This page is our bit of fun, pictures of people and places that we have been. We are fortunate to have a wonderful team of friends who help us at the mineral shows, who we have nicknamed 'The Dream Team' - and we meet up all around the world!!

From Dona:
I was going through some old photos the other day looking for something specific when I came upon these two and I was sad for a moment. Richard Bideaux was like my brother and I miss him terribly. John Sinkankas was always so good to us and taught us so much and I miss him too. These two are some of the most important people ever to pass through the world of minerals. Too bad only some of us old folks remember them....

In April 2009, Robin married her sweetheart Chris in their home town of Perth, Western Australia, and the Dream Team was there to join in on the celebrations.

In January 2009, at the Tucson show we celebrated a combined 160th birthday of Wayne, Ian and Lois with a suprise party - it was a wonderful night with superb catering by renowned Tucson chef Albert Hall, and live music by favorite Bad News Blues band.
