Description

Translucent silvery to pale yellow Smithsonite crystals grow from an iridescent sulphide matrix. The Smithsonite has two forms, firstly sharp scalenohedral crystals to 1cm length, with fine striations along the length of the crystal faces giving a brushed satin lustre. It also forms larger clusters of crystals to approx 12mm width, with rounded 'paint brush head' appearance. Contacts around the periphery, but the majority of crystals are in excellent condition.
