Micro crystals of Natropharmacoalumite have developed on a Quartz matrix within small cavities. The mineral forms transparent colourless to pale yellow intergrowing cubic crystals. This rare member of the Pharmacosiderite group was described by Rumsey et al (2010), who recorded that the specimens were collected from a single Fe-rich silicified boulder. (please excuse our fuzzy micro-closeup - we are experimenting with our microscope camera for the first time!)
