Description

Well formed crystals of Spinel in Marble from Sungate Mine, Vietnam. The Spinel forms three inter-grown crystals to 2cm on edge. The crystals exhibit a raspberry red colouration, and bright vitreous luster. The crystals are partly embedded in a characteristic white marble matrix, providing a nice background to the Spinel.
