A hand sized specimen of Dioptase with Malachite on Calcite from Tsumeb. The Dioptase forms a sparkling druse of lustrous typical green crystals, partly overgrown the Calcite and Malachite. The Malachite forms a velvet druse on the Calcite, and is covering small stalactitic growths of Cuprite, which can been seen in places breaking through the Malachite. The translucent white Calcite forms sharp rhombic crystals to over 1cm. Here and there are micro crystal areas of yellow green Duftite. A fine specimen to study paragenic sequences from this famous mine.
