A fine example of the Zeolite species Stellerite from the Evenkia, Russia. The Stellerite has developed as a mushroom-like form, with a very bright lustre and typical light brown colouration for the location. The main 2.8cm high crystal formation is set to one edge of the specimen, surrounded by a number of smaller growths. Small radiating clusters of Stellerite are scattered elsewhere on the specimen, associated with a druse of sparkling white scalenohedral Calcite crystals, which provide a fine contrast. The matrix is mixture of greenish rock fragments with included crystals of green Epidote, a silvery Mica and complex crystals of Magnetite. A fine display specimen of Stellerite from Russia.
