Lots of sharp lustrous coal black crystals of Babingtonite to nearly 0.4cm are closely scattered over the matrix, accompanied by sparse crystal groups of white Prehnite. The two minerals have formed on a light slightly yellow green micro-botryoidal Saponite matrix. On the underside of the specimen, Saponite covers a botryoidal and stalactitic crystalline Prehnite of translucent green. The specimen sits and displays to advantage. A rich crystal specimen of Babingtonite from the famous Deccan Basalt Traps.
