A very pleasing specimen of Smithsonite from the classic Mexican location of Santa Eulalia. The Smithsonite displays a form reminiscent of a geodesic dome, and has a slightly knobbly surface with a wonderful silky chatoyant luster. The creamy Smithsonite is translucent. The underside of the specimen shows an onion ring like growth structure of successive deposited layers of Smithsonite around a corroded Limestone core.
