Native wire Gold in the shape of a person waving to you, maybe a long lost friend. Native Golds with a sculptural feel such as this are difficult to find, particularly ones with a seemly human side. The wire like form is over 1.8cm long, and the underside of the specimen is hollow from the negative impressions of the Quartz crystal on which the Gold had grown. The Gold is a fine bright metallic yellow with a net weight of 8.7g. From the El Infierno Mine which was a small but rich deposit, now worked out, which produced some of the world's best wire Gold - the rarer form of Gold crystallisation. This specimen show excellent development of the wire form.
