The feature of this fine Gold specimen is the almost complete curved circular ring at the apex. Formed from a 2mm wide wire (the rarer form of Gold crystallisation) the ring is aesthetically positioned on a plinth of ridged and indented Native Gold. The specimen has a bright light metallic yellow colouration, and minor white vein Quartz is in association. The specimen comes from the El Infierno Mine, Venezuela, a small but rich deposit which produced wire Golds, which is now worked out. The net weight of the specimen is 4.6g.
