A reasonably well formed doubly terminated Calcite crystal with an internal glow from inclusions of Copper. The Calcite is lustrous with interesting stepped growth detail and striations. There are areas of chocolate brown Copper with green tinges of Malachite intergrown with the Calcite which the Calcite appears to have grown on. Houghton County, Michigan, USA is famed for its Copper specimens, and the Calcites included with Copper are highly sought after. This specimen has a superb provenance, coming from the famous E. O. Stratton collection.
