Native gold from Nellie Grey Mine, Nevada. This specimen is from a district which was extensively mined for placer gold more than fifty years ago. This specimen came from one of the lode mines above the canyon. We have only seen one other specimen of any size from this district. It is a well-crystallized leaf gold with thin wire crystals at the base. See a video here
