The Annals of San Francisco – 1855

This first edition is a real treasure trove….I love the illustrations (150) and the history that covers all the important events of the city. Original full black morroco stamped in gilt, gilt edge, a beautiful copy – 823 pages – with map- supplies much information on mining and its impact on this instant city The Zamorano 80 calls the work “A necessary reference book of San Francisco to the middle fifties, compiled mainly from newspapers and information received from pioneer citizens.” Our own library contains many of the important listings by Zamorano and nothing makes this list unless it is 100% important. This will carry you away to those early days of San Francisco and you will enjoy the trip! – Dona
