I love this little book – probably because I have such respect for Pierre Bariand and he was so kind to us in the early days. When he visited with us I learned how to make a Baba au Rhum cake to surprise him. This 1976 publication is basically a photo book and all the photos are done by Nelly Bariand. I always felt that Nelly did not get the credit that was due her for such fine photography long before the digital age. Pierre, of course, is so well known as creator and curator of the fine museum display at the Sorbonne. Pierre is still alive but confined to a care facility and Nelly is doing well in their lovely spot in the south of France. Autographed to Peter Keller by Pierre and Nelly – Dona
