Tucson Show Report 2016

This year marks our 45th year of business, or Sapphire Anniversary, and it just so happens that this years theme at the Tucson Gem and Mineral Show (TGMS) is “Shades of Blue: Minerals of the World”

This year we are set up at a range of venues around the city. We have a retail and wholesale room down at the Hotel Tucson City Centre (known by many as Inn Suites)

Around the central gardens of the Inn Suites are a group of free-range dinosaurs. Some more friendly than others!

In The Ballroom tributes were paid to the legend Rock Currier who sadly left us last year.

From February 5th-8th Lois is set up at the Westward Look Resort for the Westward Look Fine Mineral Show. This was a great showcase for some of our stunning new acquisitions

Evan Jones, as well as having a retail room at Westward Look, also showcased his stunning collection of Arizona
minerals in the lobby of the resort. The quality and range of mineral species on display demonstrates the mineralogical wealth and diversity of this state.

On Saturday 6th February we threw our 45 Year Anniversary Party up at our house in the hills. More on this later!

The Westward Look Fine Mineral Show came to close on Monday 8th February, but our Inn Suites Rooms remain open throughout, and in a few days we set up for the Tucson Gem and Mineral Show (TGMS), which will mark the end of another successful and fun Tucson.
